Samantha Byrd

A Kentuckian since birth, Samantha Byrd is an all-around horse woman with experience in a range of disciplines. In her younger years and through college, she developed her knowledge of the English discipline in both flat work and jumping. Graduating in 2012, Samantha obtained an Associate’s of Arts Degree in Equine Management from Midway College.

God allowed her horizons to be further broadened when she met and married, Jessie Byrd, a real-life cowboy and horse trainer in 2017. Joining Jessie, Samantha has had the opportunity to become skilled in the Western discipline and begin her horse training and colt starting journey.

For the Byrd Family, it is truly a family affair. By day, they work as real-life cowboys working cattle from horseback and on afternoons and weekends, Jessie and Samantha train, retrain, and start horses, even involving their children in the process where they can. Samantha feels incredibly blessed to be able to use her wealth of knowledge to build a relationship with and nurture the confidence of each horse she trains.
